Andy Staples on the death of Junior Seau. Getting rid of the helmets and reducing pad size has got to be the route to take here.

Ebert reveals his entry for the latest Sight & Sound poll. I think it's a little premature to put a film from 2011 on the list, but hey... he's Ebert. Who am I to argue?

10 shows that are better watched in marathon form, rather than once a week. I've watched two of those shows both in marathon form and week to week. Vehemently disagree with Mad Men. Quite a number of episodes of Mad Men can stand alone as short films and I noticed that watching a many episodes in one sitting sometimes caused me to focus too much on plot, and less on some of the exquisite film-making going on. On the other hand, totally agree with Game of Thrones. I watched season one in three sittings and have been watching season two as it airs, and because the plot is so dense, it seems to work better when story twists are fresher in your mind. And I also can't recommend either of them enough.
