Daily Link Dump - March 28, 2012

Paul Thomas Anderson's newest movie, The Master, will be released in October. I'm a huge, huge fan and cannot wait.

Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan. I guess if you're Lee Daniels and your material doesn't have enough poverty porn, igniting a culture war between the left and right is a way to draw attention. Personally, I have a hard time caring about either woman. Or Lee Daniels.

Related: When I saw Precious, I laughed my ass off when Mo'Nique tells Precious she doesn't have AIDS "[b]ecause we didn't do it up in the ass." I later discovered Lee Daniels thought it was funny too. It was, after all, one of the movie's more honest moments.

Here's video of a cop shooting a dog as it stands in the front yard, wagging its tail.

T-Shirt hell weighs in on Trayvon Martin and Geraldo Rivera.

Why, oh, why would we want government to handle our health care? As I read elsewhere: This is what Total State Healthcare gets you: the perpetual war of all against all, as various constituencies fight it out in the negative-sum game of political rationing.

Michigan militia members cleared of charges that accused them of plotting war against government. Next time the government will dispense with the formality of a trial and just call in a drone strike.

News on unnecessary remake of Verhoeven classic.

News on another unnecessary remake of a Verhoeven film. At least this one has Bryan Cranston.
