Daily Link Dump - March 29, 2012

Two days in a row where I'm discussing this, but this quote from FilmDrunk made me laugh:

Can we just give Lee Daniels an Oscar an (sic) exchange for a promise not to make this? He’s like the North Korea of directors. I wonder if we’ll find out that Nancy Reagan secretly had AIDS and an incest baby and couldn’t read. Maybe Gabourey Sidibe as the sassy Jamaican ambassador? “Ear me now – ya gwan take dem bandulu plane hout me bumbaclot hairspace if ya know what’s good far ya, BUH! BUH! Now whar me put me donut?”

Damon Root gives me a glimmer of hope: "If I was in the Obama administration, I would not be comfortable with how the last three days went."

The city of New Orleans is debating whether or not to make it more expensive for poor blacks to be self-employed.

More evidence that one should never interact with cops, but if one must it's wise to record it.

The New Civility: I suppose if Spike Lee had called Zimmerman a slut, The Hollywood Reporter wouldn't be the only major outlet somewhat holding Lee's feet to the fire.

Also, apparently this grainy, low-resolution video is supposed to be evidence of... something.

Steve Holt!

Maggie McNeill's thoughts on recent "controversies" regarding birth control and Planned Parenthood are in line with my own: it's all misdirection.

The Volokh Conspiracy is achieving some notoriety. All well-deserved mind you.
