Daily Link Dump - April 26, 2012

Today is going to be a special day for 32 football players. It's, however, just another day in the city of New Orleans.

Shocker: Obama is a craven liar. He also eats dog.

It's serendipitous that this would get posted just a few days after I saw Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. Great review of what I think is a great movie. If I did my ten best for 2011 all over again, this would find its way on it.

The TSA continues to win friends and influence people.

Vulture ranks all of Stephen King's books. I've yet to find a Stephen King book I like enough to finish, and I loathe slideshows, so I have no clue nor care how this list is ordered. But I am impressed to discover that he's written 62 books! No denying the man is successful and that people love his stuff.

The plot of Think Like a Man as told through passive-aggressive reviews.

Newell Normand fires deputy for Taser incident and is considering filing criminal charges. This needs to happen more often. Good on Normand for doing the right thing.

The special inspector general overseeing TARP throws a little cold, hard reality on the folks who think TARP made a profit.

Matt Zoller Seitz and Adam Lucas on the unfair treatment Nicolas Cage has received from the internet. Bonus quote from Willem Defoe that is right on the money.

A brutal take down of a Jezebel blogger's unease over sex work.

I am no fan of Girls (It's essentially The Hills but with privileged white women who grew up on the East Coast and went to Yale) but this is the stupidest critique of the show. It's like complaining about not having enough white people in Precious.
